Speaking Engagements
Submitting a speaking inquiry does not create a booking or contractual obligation. Both parties must sign a separate written agreement before Rick and Jane Books confirms an engagement. The agreement will address speaking fees, deposits, travel, lodging, event requirements, cancellations, recording rights, and other applicable terms.
Book Descriptions, Payments, and Returns
The Rick and Jane website lists book descriptions and current prices. Rick and Jane Books may occasionally offer promotions or promotional codes. Promotional codes apply only to qualifying purchases made through the Rick and Jane website.
Print-on-demand suppliers process online payments and print and ship the purchased materials. Customers should contact the appropriate supplier first with questions or problems involving an online purchase. If the supplier cannot resolve the problem, customers may contact Rick and Jane Books at info@rickandjane.com.
Customers who purchase books at an in-person event must pay at the event. Rick and Jane Books sells event purchases as-is. Customers must inspect their purchases before leaving because Rick and Jane Books does not accept returns after the event ends.
Intellectual Property
Alan and Autumn Ray or their licensors own the website content, book excerpts, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, and downloadable materials unless the website states otherwise. You may not copy, republish, distribute, sell, or modify these materials without written permission, except when the law permits such use.
Orders
An order confirmation acknowledges that the seller received the order, but it does not guarantee acceptance. The seller may cancel or limit an order because of a pricing error, unavailable inventory, suspected fraud, or shipping restrictions. If the seller cancels an order after collecting payment, the supplier will issue any applicable refund according to its policies.
Third-Party Sales
Rick and Jane Books uses print-on-demand companies to produce and fulfill its books. Amazon, Lulu, BookVault, or another outside seller may process, print, and ship an order. Each supplier establishes its own payment, shipping, return, and refund policies. Those policies apply to books, bundles, and Deluxe Collections purchased through that supplier.
